Well we pick up where the first Children of the Corn left off as authorities and the media have arrived at the town of Gatlin, Nebraska. The children that are left are loaded into a bus except one, Micah (Ryan Bollman), that is moving in with Angela (Rosalind Allen) who owns a bed and breakfast in the next town. As they are headed back to town they meet up with John (Terence Knox) and his son, Danny (Paul Scherrer), who are passing through. The father is a journalist and the son doesn’t want to be with him. As the father sticks around to get the story the madness spreads to the town of Hemingford.

I like the first Children of the Corn and I think it has aged well. To bad the sequel is a disappointment. It’s awesome to see Christie Clark in this all grown up from her little girl roll on the sequel of A Nightmare On Elm Street. This movie has some fun parts in it but the bad effects and bad acting make this a hard pass. The worst part is is that they get worse! I would have to say though Marty Terry plays a awesome doomsday character. She’s like the Ralph of Children of the Corn.

The kill scenes in this movie are predictable and not amazing. They come up with some crazy backstory of why all this is happening and I’ll give them props for that. I’ll be honest I haven’t read the Stephen King story but I kind of like the original for just being some crazy cult following kids murdering adults.

I know I’m probably going to catch a lot of crap for nitpicking but there’s two flaws that bugged me. One when the dad is driving and a car honks he turns the wheel in the direction of the car. Why would you turn towards the car instead of away? The second is the doctor hands one of the kids a yellow sucker and in the next shot it’s orange. Maybe he traded I don’t know. Somebody has to catch this stuff!

I wish this the title in this movie was true and it’s the last sacrifice but no they have gone on to make to many of these movies. Let it die already or he who walks behind the rows is going to get you! I’m giving this movie a 2 out of 5 as it’s actually not the worst but it’s nowhere near the original. Thanks for reading!
